OligoScan Testing

About OligoScan

OligoScan uses Spectrophotometry, an instrument that measures the amount of light emitted by a light source. The light is reflected from the skin, which determines the concentration of minerals and toxic elements in the underlying tissues.

From one sample, the OligoScan is able to determine the presence of minerals and toxic elements being mobilised in the tissues of the individual.

Because each mineral has a different wave length of light, Spectrophotometry works by calculating the amount of light absorbed or reflected at a given wave length.

Four locations on the skin of the hand are measured to assess the status of minerals and toxic elements currently present in the tissues.

Scan Requirements

  • Blood Type

To perform this scan you must know your blood type. You can contact your GP to see if they know it, or have a blood type test performed. Alternatively, I can supply you with a Eldon Blood Typing Kit for $30. This is a simple test you can perform at home. These tests can also be purchased online. Get in touch to arrange to get a home testing kit.

If both parents are O blood type then there is no need to test blood type the children as they will also be O.

  • Height & Weight

Height and weight are also required prior to testing but these can be done in clinic if needed.

  • Age Requirements

Scans can be performed on children from 2 years of age if minimum weight & height requirements of 10kg & 70cm are met.

The test itself does not require any blood to be taken and is painless and quick.
